pump up music vs. calm

Most people consider pump up music to be hard rock or metal (a.k.a screamo).  and most of the time this is true. Songs that have lots of enthusiasim in them generally get a person pumped up. and most of the time it is being blared. calm down music is the total opposite. usually they are quite songs with slow melodys or beats. everyones pump up and relaxing songs/artist are different but here are a few that i like.

Pump Up:

  • bullet for my valentine
  • slipknot
  • disturbed
  • escape the fate
  • metallica

calm:

  • matt nathanson
  • john mayer
  • incubus

there are all kinds of different genres for different moods (working out, before a game, angry, etc). that is why a lot of people cant live without music in their lives, because it cheers them up or makes them feel better when nobody else can.

Boy Bands from the 90’s

I’m sure all of us remember NSYNC, the backstreet boys and aaron carter. My personal favorite was NSYNC. I remember joining the battle between NSYNC and the backstreet boys in elementary school . I dont remember who won but it was probably a pretty close one. And everyone loved aaron carters “I want Candy.” That song brings back memories of the lower school talent show…..at least one group each year would do a dance to the song and then at the end throw out candy to the audience. Those were the days….

Here’s a list of each bands top songs:

NSYNC

Bye Bye Bye

God must have spent a little more time on you

No strings attached

This I promise you

Backstreet Boys

I want it that way

as long as you love me

larger then life

Aaron carter

I want candy

aarons party

That’s how I beat Shaq

favorite bands from the past

There are so many amazing bands from the past the that I love like Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Journey, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Foreigner, and many more. Journey’s most popular song would probably be “Don’t Stop Believin” but they also the songs ” Any way you want it”, “Open Arms”, “Send her my love, “Faithfully” and a lot more. Bon Jovi’s songs most popular songs would be “Livin on a prayer”, “wanted dead or alive”, and “You give love a bad name”. Def Leppards are “Photograph”, “Nine Lives”. The Beatles were a really big hit with “Here comes the sun”, “I feel fine”, “Yellow Submarine”. Led Zeppelin led the 70’s with “Stairway to Heaven”, “Black Dog”, “Immigrant Song”, and “Whole Lotta Love.” Another favorite from past band is Foreigner with “Waiting for a girl like you”, “I want to know what love is”, and “Jukebox Hero.” Nobody could ever foget any of these amazing bands, and if they did then they don’t know what real music is.

ACDC!!!

ACDC is one of my all time favortie bands! I got the honor of going to their concert back on November 4th and it was amazing! Those guys still sound like they did like they did in the 80’s.  They were started by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. Their first album, “High Voltage”, came out in 1975. Their second album came out in 1979 and it was called “Highway to Hell” but switched bassit from Mark Evans to Cliff Williams. Sadly the lead singer, Bon Scott died on February 19th, 1980 after consuming a very large amount of alchol. Brian Johnson, the current lead singer, replaced Bon Scott and recorded their best album yet, “Back in Black”. Their album “For those about to Rock” was their first album to hit number one in the United States but when Phil Rudd was fired and Simon Wrigt took over, the bands popularity declined. Phil Rudd returned to the band in 1994. ACDC made many other albums including “Ballbreaker”, “The Razors Edge”, and “Stiff Upper Lip”. Their most recent album is “Black Ice” and their album “Iron Man 2” is set to come out on April 10th of this year. They have sold over 20o million albums and over 71 million in the United States. “Back in Black” is their biggest selling album, selling 45 million copies worldwide. It is in second place for the top selling album of all time behind michael Jackson’s “thriller”.

Here is a list of the members and what they do:

  • Brian Johnson – lead vocals (1980–present)
  • Angus Young – lead guitar (1973–present)
  • Malcolm Young – rhythm guitar, backing vocals (1973–present)
  • Cliff Williams – bass guitar, backing vocals (1977–present)

  • Mark Evans – bass guitar, backing vocals (1975–77)
  • Simon Wright – drums, percussion (1983–89)
  • Chris Slade – drums, percussion (1989–94)

And here’s a list of their albums:

  • High Voltage (Australia) (1975)
  • T.N.T. (1975)
